Yes, it does fit, it fits the hamb period, well done justin, it is in fact your car, and yes stogy, this guy drives them as much as I. He picked it up on a very hot day, his sons took turns riding shotgun and they drove it five hours home, looking like lobsters because of it. I'm thinking it was miles of smiles, he's been a pleasure to know, he'll fit here just fine. LeRoy.

I've shared it here before...it was a real rough around the edges 32 build initially and it had a major upgrade around 64 was sold and rebought by Family years later...

Bruce Lilige was the original builder along with a friend....

Thanks for chiming in Clayton...and correcting my error...
You have great roots in this Love of Old Cars...They were very adventurous in that region...many of my most favorite Hotrods come from that part of the Big Picture...

...Since it's Bonneville time heres a one of a kind Lakester running an early 60s Aspirated then later Turbocharged Pontiac 4 cylinder...wouldn't it be cool to see it back for a second wind...

It was up for grabs...amazing it's survived...

    Quoted...

"Completed in 1962 by a team reportedly consisting of Burbank firefighter Jerry Silverstein along with notable hot rodders Julian Doty and Arnold Birner, the racer was named “Something” and run at SCTA dry lakes events in various forms until 1989"

"An included display frame contains mementos including six time slips from the Bonneville Nationals. Among them is a slip showing a 1986 run of 224.753 mph through the 4th mile."

...the T in the foreground is the Jerry McKenzie T built and shown around 1954...the one in the background with the 35 grille I have captured once at a show and shared it here and it was also featured in a Street Rodder if I'm not mistaken...Hamber @stingbean confirmed that here some time ago...

2935, you asked me about this Hotrod and I wasn't sure of its origin and Stingbean did confirm and actually did a Thread on it...its at the Link below...and yes it has Canadian roots...the pic I shared way up top reminded me of it...seems it might be in a collection...the accompanying article doesn't mention despite it being in the background...

@A Boner those are the correct fenders. Volvo TP 21 I think it was called. A Volvo military vehicle.

Wow, I was thinking it was some sort of ugly 40’s brand X 4 dr. sedan! Well, I guess something similar to the Volvo could be built with an old American ugly duckling...bashed fenders and all. Lots of old, and somewhat ugly 4 doors still hiding out there...hopefully this will be an inspiration for someone to rescue one and put it on the road!
