Thanks @Austinrod...yes your ride was at that show...we were trying to glean more information on the Crosley in the background and determined that it was one of the Head Hunters CC of Hayward drag cars...it sure was an incredible time in the Hotrod/Custom evolution...

I will take this moment to Credit you as your Thread on Bill's Roadster was where I saw that Crosley I shared here...as they were shared together on the same page in a scan you shared...

I found info at HotrodHotline that Joeblow further deciphered to connect the more thorough connection to Oakland and the Club

  5. Here's a different angle of the Head Hunters display. I believe it's been posted before.

...Truly a great time in Hotrod...I'd love to see every one of those Hotrods shared here in this Thread in more detail...The Head Hunters had good Roots in The Big Picture...

...This is not an average Deuce...in fact Doane Spencer who was behind the vision above shared by @Jimmy B was a innovator in all things Mechanical and many changes were driven by events participating in hence purpose...with style and execution always considered...

Something also interesting about this Hotrod was all its Owners over the Hotrod period were well versed providers of class and performance...

Reminds me of the VW '32 roadster on here a few years ago.

As I recall the project got stalled after the builder mostly completed it, I think he lost his building space and had to clean everything out and he sold it off.

As Blues said he sold it quite some time ago...I'm surprised it hasn't resurfaced here under it's new caretaker...I do know the incompleted builds don't always take a vintage turn under new ownership...I spotted Beaners old Crosley project and some of the discussion wasn't too Hamb Friendly...

Jim how's the Coupe made from junk coming along? It's good to see you getting back to action again...I recall you had an even newer project on top of that to...

Some people have an incredible eye for shapes in metal...I remember Edward Lloyd making a T out of a pizza van but he did a lot of shaping of salvaged flat panels...this is just cut and plunk and fill in between...the cowl could use a slice and reverse or pie cut to get things sloping in the usual direction but amazing use of OT sheetmetal...

  18. My youngest is into Jeeps now.
Looks like I’m going to end up with one or two extra cj3 tubs. Been staring at em. Might try this.
Here is one of em. Someone cut up already. But had to buy it at $15

    needs narrowed a lot.
Basically just use the cowl, narrowed, and build a tub similar to a T-bucket.

  22. The dairy was in Leamington Ontario, owned by the Lightfoot boys till it closed about 10 years ago. Lakeside Jersey Dairy. Lakeside is also a town out east. I just thought it was cool the way homogenized was on the car and the thread title. I will ask my uncle if there is any chance that this was a local effort.

That is exactly what caught my eye apart from it being a cool Hotrod...

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a Canadian connection or any information for that matter...what you provided might connect the dots...Elvis is in The Strokers CC and he along with his gang know so much of the History back in those Golden years...;)
