... @Pete and perhaps @onekoolkat1950 posted this way back and over the years others have posted others but here they have been united as one as they are all the same Hotrod...;)

This Hotrod was a former Track Style Nosed Racer with known Hotrod history dating back to 1948 built or partly built by Art Ingalls and later sold to Grinders CC Member and a Hotrodder by the Name of Jerry Sprague and just like Today Most Make it their own where others go back to whatever iteration floats their Period Vibe and this transition right to a late 60s Hotrod...

But over time when the Ugly as some call it was parted off and oddly as cards fall the sum of all parts were united again in impeccable detail in a rare sequence of anomalies...

Greg McComas was responsible for the restoration of this Gem of a Survivor...

    Apparently it was sold...

Anybody know of the current status of this Unique Blast from the past?

THATS CRAZY! That is my story! I brought the head of my go kart engine into the machine shop to get milled and the guy did it for free. I went back the next few days to sweep up and help out to repay him. He offered me a job 2 years later of me sweeping up and learning all I can there. Now I can run a mill, lathe, cut valves, seats, bore , hone. All there is in an automotive machine shop. With much more to be learned. And I dream of owning a nostalgic machine shop that looks like its out of the 50s.

I think life is filled with these experiences. Sometimes they are not this clear. I would bet that every person on the HAMB could look back and find a seemingly unimportant event that was really key to what they are doing now. We tend to think it is big decisions we make that shape our lives. Sometimes shit happens.

...seeing this rumbling into town would give Ole Stogy vibes of the California Kid just on another level...just the kind of look you'd see parked outside the Hotrod Shops back in the Day...Stance and Look is Nailed in my opinion...

I'm not sure if that 12k or 2.8k but it's a real Steal regardless...

I suspect a sad story behind that...at least it was still salvageable at that point...where is it now...

  22. Here is the post. I’m not familiar with that area. The story is it’s not for sale.

One of my oldest friends, the guy who bought my first car, had a farm implement business near Sacramento. While delivering a tractor in the foothills he saw the back of a hot rod sticking out of the bushes behind a shed. It was complete and had been almost finished. The old man said it belonged to his son who didn't make it home from Viet Nam. My friend was shown several boxes of new speed equipment that the dad had purchased with money his son had sent home to finish his project when he got home. This one was not for sale either. I started writing a book about it but like all I start it didn't get finished either. I guess some day someone will find that kind of stuff here.

It may be a normal hot rod but the non homogenized part is it being treated like a hot rod
