That is a NICE car! Did you shroud those frame horns with sheet metal?

I can't take credit for it, but they are shrowded with sheet metal, it covers the parallel leaf springs.

That's some real interesting info Hank...I know your 37 has been posted quite some time ago...I don't think we have ever seen it back in the day...there must be some pics...we'll call this one a teaser...

The Roadster still exists...wow that's kinda special...hopefully it gets out to see the light of day on a whim by it's Owner...it is an awesome Hotrod...his grandson is very fortunate.

    Thanks for connecting some dots
    Hank...;)

Those front mags look modern to me...I get fooled into thinking stuff is new when it actually isn't...I suppose the big difference in the case of the XR6 was the front suspension was covered...

...the lady's look sums up my thoughts on this wild 60s Hotrod...but that's just my opinion.

If you were to show me those I would have bet they were a post 65 wheel but they were around in 63 wow it's tough to put dates on certain things especially Custom Mags.

Those hot rod "hoodlumes" of yesterday look like English gentlemen by today's standards. Lol.

  18. The only pics I've seen were those taken in 1948 when it was chopped by Bill Detwiler in Birdsboro ,Pa. Bill died in Colorado at his sons residence . Bill's family don't know what happened to all his photos . Some where some one has photos of the 1954 Autorama in Phila.

That's to bad...we'll keep our fingers crossed that some pics turn up...

These pics you have seen are they in your possession or were they Bill's and you saw them there?

Based on a recent deal, this phantom 32 sedan delivery should be in my garage in the next week or so. Seems stock until you look a little closer. Body was built from three bodies. Started with a rust free 31 slant window Fordor body and added portions of the bodies of a 32 tudor and a 32 Vicky.

    Thanks, Stogy.
    I'm sure I'll find something to tweak.:D
Also, that is a lot of green on a car of a guy known for liking yellow!
Of course, I'm also somewhat known for liking and dealing with, "Opportunities!":D:D
I look forward to its arrival. Ford in a Ford.:) jack 4.jpg

  28. I like it, Al. Easy enough to tone down that green a bit.:)
