Technical Tire size help

  1. Anyone no what radial tire I should be looking at to replace a firestone Champion 600 16 in a white wall?

  2. whats wrong with another 6.00 16? you could use the bias look radial tires they make now, but no off the shelf radial will look like a 6.00 16 white wall. period

    Hi. Also remember that if you use the modern radial replacement size you will be going to a wider tire and without power steering it will be harder to turn front wheels without some movement forward. For my 46 Chevy coup I used the Coker 600R 16 fronts and 700R 16 rears. For my 50 Plymouth Deluxe I used 670R 15's to replace 670 15 bias. I have had no problem with either of these bias look alike's from Coker.

    To actually answer the OP's question, I refer to the Coker website. The first selection is a 600 16 bias

    The second selection is the 600 R16 and is as close as Coker makes
