Tire Shaving/Truing Rhode Island

I need to have some Bias Ply tires shaved/trued up and rebalanced, does anyone know of anyone still doing this in the Providence, RI area?

Any old tire stores around that were connected to recap shops years ago? In the 40's and 50's up into the 60's you could go to a tire shop, have your "casings" pulled off the car and have them capped and go again. Usually in the same day. Some of those old shops should still be around with the the tire truing equipment over in the corner.
You might ask the local old timers too. Not necessarily just the car guys but the old guys who have been in the area a long time.

 

If that doesn't work, ask at your area truckstops or diesel/semi repair shops.
