So at the suggestion of a friend I got some Cooper trendsetter p205 70r15`s for the Caddy. They dropped it another 2" butI`m worried about the load rating. the tires say 1,500 lb`s so it comes out to 6000 lb`s and the car weighs about 5,600 lb`s. Is that enough? I also have some p21570r15`s but there taller so I`d have to drop it even more, any suggestions

I'd say that means they are SAFE at the marked weight with a DOT acceptible margin of "fudging" assurance too.
The factory put 205's on Eldorados in the 80's and Astro Vans, which weigh that much and more with 8 of my size friends in one.

The 215's would be the "heavy duty" choice though and it's what I'm putting on my '60 Elky, unless I cheap out and run the free (almost, $10 each with some alloy wheels in them) set of 205s I've got, first that is...
(They're almost new too, only about ten test laps at Willow Springs Race Track on them.!)
