Music and Hot Rods have always gone together. When I was ten years old I went on a scavenger hunt at a friends birthday party, one of the items to find was a 45 rpm record. At a certain house in the neighborhood I was given a record with "Smoke Smoke Smoke that Cigarette" on it. We all know that one but on the flip side was a song called "Three Carburetors". I took this disc home and played it over and over. Lyrics like: "I've got three carburetors twin pipes I've got three carburetors milled heads I've got three carburetors and nooooobody passes me" My mom threw the record away because she was against smoking and didn't like the feature title. I have always remembered that "B side" song even some forty years later but have never found another copy. There was a number of artists that covered "Smoke that Cigarette" but I have no idea who sings "Three Carburetors". I must say the words were a mystery to me at ten but they made me want to figure out the deep meaning of this song. it lead me on the search that has brought me to where I am today. Does anyone out there remember this song? Anyone have a copy? Just can't seem to find it anywhere.
