Spent the last couple of evenings installing the Tri-Power that I bought from fellow Hamber dickster. Just have to button up a few things and reset the T/V pressure on the AOD then flog it! 00y0y_ccuIirSdhfE_50x50c.jpg get-attachment.jpg get-attachment.jpg SBF tri power 5-14 001.JPG

Mine too. I could have bought a brand new dual quad set-up for what I have in this, but we like what we like.

Looks good , let us know how she runs.
By the way we stock fuel line clamps that are smooth and made for fuel lines . The worm clamps will eat up the hose ........just a thought.....

Might have to check those out Bubba. The worm clamps ARE chewing the hose. I have some of the factory "Pinch" clamps and Garry has the crimping tool for them. I was afraid to use them until I have everything sorted out. Bad thing is they are one use only.

    Love any "tripower" setups!
Mine work great, and get wide opened every time I take the '57 out for a spin!

    • Add me to the 3X2 crowd, have them on my 57 Yblock. Even though it really liked the Holley 4v it looks waay cooler with the 3X2.

Nice. Particularly like the linkage. Simple and neat.

I'm sneaking up on 57 years old now. There are some things I've wanted to do to this car that if I don't do them now and enjoy them, I may never get around to them. Some of the things I want, I can afford......but they are still hard to justify. Just the personal satisfaction of being out in the garage and fabbing the AOD brackets and carb linkage and accomplishing SOMETHING is relaxing and keeps my mind a little sharper. I also learned that that using my welding helmet set on a shade that wont give me eye flash will still cause severe headaches! OUCH!

Well, we had a major tragedy in our family three weeks ago so I never really finished up the install until this week. Got the AOD cable bracket fabbed up and started playing with the T/V pressure. Before I ran 5 psi at idle and 33 at wide open. I thought that it wouldn't hurt anything to bump it up a little so this time I set it at 40 psi wide open. Only a 7 psi difference and the trans was sluggish and wouldn't hold 3rd gear. These tranny's really are finicky! I backed it off to 33 psi again and it works just fine. I have included a couple of shots of the bracket that I made for the factory cable in case someone else needs the info and a finished shot. By the way, the red vacuum cap is going away. I have the manual choke set-up for it. 3163i83.jpg 3163i83.jpg get-attachment.jpg get-attachment.jpg
