That's actually the fishing line that's holding them on. The camera picks it up more than the eye does.

That was on a 1923 MOON, I have a book that can help identify the years of many old emblems. Bob

The Dodge Brothers insignia is a mystery. There is much speculation as to the meaning, but no real answer. The Brothers were neither Jewish or known to be Masons. You've got a cool display, be proud of it. BTW, I've read that there were about 5000 differant car Co.s in the US. Many only built one or two cars.

In the 60's My dad was friends with the local Chevy dealer who would remove the owners manuals from all the old, used, trade in cars. The dealer would give them to my dad, who would bring them to me. I must have had over a 100 manuals that I ended up give away later on.

Also, the dealer would routinely remove the new small, factory hub caps, and replace them with full size after market "spinner" type hub caps. Dealer gave us about 1/2 a pickup load of the new small hub caps. We lived out in the country, so naturally they became targets for our 22's. Worst part is they all eventually ended up at the local dump.

The Dodge Brothers had an ongoing feud with Henry Ford. Ford wasn't very fond of Jewish people at the time. The speculation was that the Dodge Brothers did that just to piss Ford off.
