Not sure what I'd do with it but for $1300 I'm sure I'd do something! '41 Ford, all body panels are there although no floor and most of the firewall has been hacked out. Some kind of late model rear, not sure on front suspension. Good deal or no?

Here's a few more pics. It really looks like just a chassis and body panels. Lotsa stuff is missing.

  5. Yes that is a good deal , that is a ford 9"rear.

  6. Body looks rather solid. In NZ that would fetch 7-10k. JW

  7. That's a steal, If it were me I couldn't get the money outa my pocket fast enough!

Jesus, tell me that you bought that like right now! Ya it's missing a firewall and floor... Boo Hoo! At least the x-member hasn't been cut out, and all the body panel stuff is a fairly easy find or repro.

I'm cheap. Really cheap. And I would give 13-15 for it.

To someone who really does want to build it, it's a good deal, but you seem uncertain what you would really do with it.

"A bargain is no bargain, unless you can use it". I didn't just make that up.....it's a saying passed on to me many years ago.......and one that I have often ignored......to my detriment.

Even if you just want to buy it to 'flip' it, you'll have "transaction costs" to add to the $1300 before you have any profit. Transportation, possibly storage, advertising, and, is there a title with this puppy?? Just remember, none of the "enablers" on this forum have any skin in the game. :)

Before you take the plunge, just give some thought to the realities.....then do what you think is best.

If I had in my pocket $5 for everything I passed over in my life, I wouldn't have to be looking for $1,300 to grab this one! It will never languish in your yard should you elect to move it on later!

Wow, must be "too good to be true" day for car deals. 1st the Merc HT and now this? I didn't get the memo that everything is 80% off this month. That truck is $3500 in MI. Just sayin...

  15. No brainier

Easily worth 2 times that in parts.
1 sheet of steel some choice pieces from the scrap bin and a few days is all it would take to get the floor and firewall in there.

Front suspension- I see the Original un split bones.

What's he want for the cab behind it?

The hood if it is not rotted is $500-750. Frames are $750 to $1000 if no major rot issues.

My rule #1: Never buy something you don't like the looks of, you could be stuck looking at it for a long time.

I DO LIKE THE LOOKS OF THAT TRUCK! Bob

    Just buy it already!

  25. Yep, yep, yep, and yep. Been rodded a bit already, hopefully well enough to pop somethin' into. Rearend, leaf springs.......and are those Chevy mounts up front? Can't zoom at present.... Anyone ?

  26. Buy it! you won't lose out on it. The rear fenders fetch good money as they are truck only. It's one of Fords best designed trucks! got me one for a steal a month ago..

  28. If I wanted it, I would pay that much for it. I personally don't think its a super deal, at least not around my area. I think it looks worth just about what is asked. You could probably part it out and get more than that back.

  29. Looks like a deal to me, is that a Lotus Europa parked next to it? What else is out there?
