The one that really bothers me is an all original 1929 Ford Roadster Pickup. I bought it for $1800.00 got it running, kept it one month and sold it for $2800.00, to put new windows in my house! Then there is the '36 Ford Rumble seat 5-window, i started tearing it apart, and the whole floor was nothing but roofing tar! Got discouraged and sold it for what i gave for it! What a DUMMY!

A 37,000 mile 39 Ford coupe that I never owned. I was 14 and the neighbor put a "for sale" sign in the window for $175. No rust and one dented fender, Offenhouser heads and 3 carbs. 13" wheels on the front and 15" on the rear, laminated dash knobs. All the hot stuff....Dad would not let me buy it and said that he didn't want that piece of junk in his driveway.........I always did think he was a sick man. 50 years later and I am sure of it now

  4. My 59 El Camino! Had to sell it last year (thanks to my soon-to-be-ex wife's spending problems:mad:) I did make up some paperwork with the new owner stating that I would have have first dibs on it if he ever decides to sell. Either way it's time to move on and find something different. I have a chance at getting a 47 Ford tudor or possiby another driver project, but I need to wait till my house sells first.

It would have to be my high school 57 Chevy. Just a four door sedan but it was my first car i put Thrush mufflers on, my first 4 barrel , first car I bought mags for. I threw away the front bumper and grill and made a custom grill for it( expanded metal!)I bought it from an old greaser in Detroit, it had 64 galaxie buckets and a console with a swaztika carved in it, he had a real switchblade and a DA haircut. Lots of cool adventures in that car. I sold it in upstate New York a few years later, now unkown whereabouts(30 years later)

I'd have to say my first car. It was a 4 speed 67 Firebird someone had put a later pontiac 350 in it. I have alot of memories associated with that car. I also miss my old 67 GTO had a 428 with aluminum heads and all that good stuff. was a metalic brown with white vinyl top. White interior. (looked alot better then it sounds)

I miss my Dad's bright red 67 GTO too. 400HO 4 Speed. He also had a sweet beige 61 Catalina bubble top. I think I miss that one the most.

I saw a very similar set-up at a local (S.E. Wisconsin) car show this past summer, do you know where yours ended up?

I miss my 71 Charger R/T, 440/727, rock stock, super low miles, bought it for $1500 in 1995, it sat in the driveway for a few months and some dude offered me $3000 for it, I couldn't turn that down. Today, in the same condition, it would bring $30K+....

I miss my 1971 Ford Maverick. It was by far not a granny car. I yanked out the six and dropped a 302 in, changed all the drivetrain to 5 lug. Man that sucker was fast. Wish I could find another one...

I had a 64 F250 that i used as a work truck. It had a few small dings, but no rust. It was just a decent looking work truck. Thing was great, 223 I-6 4 speed and 4.88 gears. It was a great truck, when it hit -20* youd just have to pull the choke give the gas two pumps and bam shes running no problems. I realy have no idea why the hell i sold that thing and i kick myself everyday for it...:(

I found out a couple yrs ago my first car, The 67 Firebird I mentioned above was totaled. The guy welded the rear gears trying to make a posi. I guess he put a pretty strong motor in it and the weld broke loose or something. (I heard the story second hand) It got sideways and went head on into a tree :(

I can't really decide if I miss all the cars I've had or I don't miss any of them.....

There have been a few that were a lot of fun to drive, but they were a big pita to keep up. Then there are a few I cut up to use as race cars (roundy-round) that would be worth some pretty good bucks these days, if they were in the shape they were in when I cut them up. which they would not be in today, probably. There were a few I sold before I was ready to sell them, but money was always a concern. When the oppertunity presented it self to double what I had in them, they were gone. From all the cars I've had, there are only a couple that I actually lost money on, and those have been mostly the more recent ones.

I guess maybe I miss most of them just a little, but none stand out as the one or two.
