This fell off my car...???

I think this came off my 54 Belair, 235 cu. Not sure what it is? looks like a tiny piston though

Can anyone identify it and where is goes?

Drill a hole in the end of the flat piece and you have one kick ass keychain.

 

Yuppers, that it is. And it probably creates a vacuum leak without it.

 

Didn't you post a few days ago that your 235 started running poorly after you'd changed the fuel line and filter? You may have just figured it out.

Yea, thanks guys. I thought it was off my carb, the end cap fell off and I just found that too. Looks like I'll have to take the choke apart and put it back in. Does it attach to a little spring?
