Luckily all the trim and loose pieces were stored in the trunk! He couldn't find the bumpers or grill yet, hopefully he will.

or if anyone has bumpers and grill for a 1957 Belvedere, please let me know.

    Thanks

'57 Plymouth 2dr hardtop. Nice find!

As far as I know, the 2x4 318 was Fury specific, or could be ordered for you by the dealer.

    What color is the interior?

Go to www.forwardlook.net/forums and dig in the classifieds, you'll find most everything you need. Be sure to introduce yourself over there.

    They're still out there.....

....they're just not in places like Michigan. I had to go to Cali to get mine.

    Nice Fury BTW.

white-beige vinyl with a dark insert (with metallic threads). The rear seat is covered by a blanket, so it may be nice. Car has under 70k miles. Pretty nicely optioned for a Belvedere.

    Thanks for the link.

Not sure yet what I'll do with this one, I'm going to do a leakdown on the cylinders and fire it up this week. It's essentially rust free (just a tiny area in the trunk, too small to poke a pencil through). Maybe just paint and seats, and drive it!

There was a '57 hardtop around here when I was growing up, still remains as one my favorites. It was very dark burgandy, almost purple. Love the steering wheel. Good find!

im not sure..... the building is not connected to the yard, they tell you to go down a few streets, take a right and its between 2 corn fields.... i coulda blew thousands of dollers in that place easy. i know we had to drive west through the park(can remember the name of the park/rapids) to get to the town its in. went with my exs dad who lives in ottowa, im a little bit sketchy on asking him directions...

Notto be contrary, but there are some documented cases of a few Plymouths having a 392 hemi back then. They were only available to insiders though, not the general public. I used to spend alot of time on the forwardlook.net site when I had my '58 and that was always something that was brought up.

My Plymouth service manual calls it a Dual Fury V-800.
    9.25 compression, 290 horse at 5200 RPM.
