Thermal Circuit Breaker (Ford Flattie V8)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by dudford, Apr 11, 2013.

  1. Talking today with my Dad he was saying he's come up against a problem with a Thermal Circuit Breaker (TCB). Currently, the stock loom is set up with power coming from the battery and the first port of call is a TCB. In that situation if there are any problems the entire electrical system cuts out, lights, ignition the lot. Essentially it is the only means of wiring loom protection as per stock.

Question is, is there a modern replaceable equivalent that doesn't rely on that antiquated system that would be retrofit? Interested to know what others have done in that situation. Individually splice and fuse the original NOS loom?

    Cheers chaps!!
