It's always good to see a barn find. My uncle left it to me when he passed. It was my great grandpa's.
Yea we hated to lose him, he was a good man. You never know when it's your turn so you better be right with the man upstairs. I can't change my name, I'm still working on the 28. I'm going to build a 50's style. It may be a while though. No, I'm not going to cut this one up
Yeah, what are those wheels? It also looks like it has a Trippe passing light on the front, but on the right hand side? Never seen that before. Unless it's half of a set of Trippe Beam fog lights. A damn cool car.
Clark, I had no idea what type wheels those were, they are only on the front and they are both rusted out on the inside. As far as the light, you got me, I looked for a name or numbers and didn't see any.
And I bet he "Believed" in you. He'll ride with you forever now, glad to hear you will not cut this one up, some just should be left be.
Thanks all. Crestliner, Yea you would have thought that. He had an old store that sold everything. You should have seen the 100 cases of 30 weight stacked up with the boxes falling apart around the stacked cans. I wish I would have taken a picture of that.
Sorry for your loss ! ! lost my Dad in 1983 on Dec 13 . Was talking with him at the store and said I will see him at home . Never made it . I kow what you are saying . You really never know ! Do your Grandpa the right way . Fix it up , enjoy it and pass it to your children and keep it in the family . That way everyone can enjoy what your Grandpa did ! Good Luck ! Jim
