Woohoooooo!! Rest up guys...then slay that record!!!!
I can taste the salt from here.
Thinking Pink Floyd right now (wish you were here)
I read that first time drivers have to do a rookie run that cannot exceed 150 mph. So tell Dave not to go over that on his rookie run, since I’m sure that long square hunk of steel is going to just cut through the air.
Sure is good to get there, isn't it?
I'm watching; Good Luck.
I'll try to keep it a skosh under a buck-fifty.
Couple pics of our "campsite" ....
Our home away from home ...
Our other crew member Doug's "accomodations" ...
The view of the salt from our campsite ....
And looking towards Wendover ...
And the view behind us ....
And a pic of our push truck ...
It's also a beautiful night - not hot but nice, no humidity, slight breeze. Very comfortable sleeping weather ....
Tomorrow is a busy day - we unload, set up our pit, fix the driver window which popped off the track, and get it through tech inspection ....
The Great White Dyno.
Good morning Bonneville!!!
Is the Mexican rest still open at the truck stop ? Good food , breakfast etc......
How beautiful is that???? Thanks for bringing us along!!!!
^^^ I heard the Salt Flats Café/Mexican restaurant relocated from truck stop to town of Wendover.
Haven't been there but was told it's near the post office in Wendover.
Sorry, Copper Kettle is near post office, but Salt Flats café is in town.
This is suitable for framing. beautiful
Tom - The sunrise will look even better when you're out there even earlier for your record run.
Salt Flats Cafe: turn South on 1st street (at the gas station just before the Nugget) and you'll see it if front of you as you cross the RR track.
Save me a parking spot.....maybe on the road late tomorrow...a few more things need to fall in place

Great picture of the truck on the Landracing.com Facebook page.
Thanks for telling us - we never would have known otherwise!
There is some pretty cool participants in the lineup of varied racers...

A great day today, our first day on the salt. We are parked next to Danny Thompson, we are across from the Rolling Bones and Tim McMaster. We are in high cotton now!
The pics are as we first drove out onto the salt and rolled the truck out in full view for the first time.
Out on the salt I cannot see a damn thing on the screen making it real hard to post anything in real time.
Dave had a real tough flight to cone in - his first flight was delayed for two hours and he missed his connection. He got another flight to Dallas and we just found out he is now on his way to Salt Lake City. Another team member got stuck as well and they are all getting in in to SLC about 3-4 hours late. But, the good news is they will all be I'm early tomorrow to go through tech inspection as the driver and his equipment must be present.
I will do my best to take pics tomorrow ....
What is the word on the salt?
Fantastic...need I say more.
Man, the truck looks AWESOME on the Salt!!! And you’re in good company with such seasoned neighbors!! Hopefully, you can glean some speed tidbits from each!!
Sure hope the stressful travel doesn’t take its toll on Dave...I’m sure he’ll be on his game though!!!
Godspeed to the team!! Looking forward to encouraging testing/racing!!!
Thanks for the update, Pete!!

Goooooood morning, Bonneville!!!!
Once again the HAMB subscription and notification system has let me down and I had to catch up just now on all the posts since back about Tuesday.
But at least I found it and got caught up. Hopefully HAMB will keep me up to date now. Glad all the folks finally arrived.
Good luck gentlemen!
Ditto!!!!! Looking forward to a picture of your passing tech inspection tag, and then getting in line for your first run. Good luck!!!!
