Anyone know if chromed or ss wiper assemblies are still available? I'm gonna probably need some on the Byooik sometime in the future. Yeah, I gotta have em still, I live in MO and it's a state requirement, plus they're handy when it rains round here. Think the ones on the Byooik are original or damn close and they just don't put enough tension on the blades for them to clean the window well. Streaky and irritating. Any tips or tricks to get the old blade holders working better?
If the arms are the Trico factory parts, I've had some success pulling the back cover loose, unhooking the spring, & cutting a coil off. Most of them are pretty brittle & break easily. The early blades made by Trico usually hold modern refills - I buy the long Rain-X refills for truck blades & cut to length - 1 refill does 2 blades.
