Just picked up this 49 for the wife yesterday. Don't have a plan yet, but color choices are being considered. Will be changing the stance a little. We have a lot to learn about these cars, but this one seems like a good start. She and I have been wanting a shoebox for a very long time.

Great start??? that thing is fucking awesome as is!!! Seen it in the classifieds last week and loved everything about it especially the stance. I would switch to chrome steel wheels and call it done!!!

Yeah, that thing is the shit. You are a lucky man, to have that car, and to have a wife that wants it, haha.

Nice! The patina don't look too shaby from the pics. I'd definitely start with stance. Hope she drives the wheels off of that thing...

  20. Agree, get your wife to drive it as is, or at least until you guys decide where you want to take your project.

Congrats. That's an awesome start. The body on the car looks exceptional. I was just reading a threat on guys hitting a brick wall on projects. For me starting with a rotten hulk takes most of the fun out of these cars.

    Keep us posted.
