Simply amazing. I never get tired of looking at this build. It's very inspirational to know you're using fairly basic tools and imagination. Keep it up!

Bass you are a ruler! Immaculate work, and I expect to see this thing in bare metal in TRJ.

I couldnt agree more on Bob Wilson, I've had his cell # saved for years cause he's that good, nice, knowledgable.

As another fabricator, I'd like to hear your sources for parts, companies where you've found the best deal, or just the place that carried the part you needed. I run into sourcing problems all the time. Several of which it looks like you could help out on. I and I'm sure others would appreciate it.

Rolox Disc, I go through quite a few, but I don't have a good supply for them at all. Where are you getting them from by the box?

Stromberg parts, sure there are lots that sell them, but obviously if you are buying boxes you must have found a good vendor you trust your business with.

    Linkage, namely the stainless arms.....

Bushings & Clevis (where from, but also what part # on the bushings) Did the bushings come poly's only and you made the sleeve? or sleeve included.

Longer Brake hose (I imagine this is a local Dallas guy, but none the less)

Keep on keeping on, and keep up the hard work. Lots of metal porn going on in your shop!

    Your welds are other world!

What welding rod do you use for sheet metal and 1/4" to 3/8" plate?

Great work, Bass!! Guys like you drive me nuts!!! I have a vision in my mind for my build, then you come along and make me think about more/different ways to do it.
Best thing about that is it makes you think.

I met you at the RU, and was looking at the chassis, it was so cool in person I couldn't concentrate on one thing without seeing something else that caught my eye.
I got dizzy from over stimulation and had to walk away :)

Unbelievable fabrication, but better looking in person.
    Thank you

Sorry....I missed this somehow. I'll try to answer the best I can.

I buy mine from my local auto paint store. They come in boxes of 25, and 36 grit (3M brand) ranges in price from about $30-45 a box depending on where you go.

I have bought from the Hot Rod Company, Riley Automotive, and Sacramento Vintage Ford. They all have been great so far. The majority of the Stromberg parts for this project came from Riley.

The throttle arms are die-cast. I don't know if they are zinc or aluminum or what, but they are from the Hot Rod company. I'm not sure that I've ever seen them in stainless, but I have seen them in bronze. The rod ends and all the hardware I used are stainless.

Both the sleeves and bushings are from Pete & Jakes. You have the buy the bushing and the outer weld sleeve seperately. I'll have to look up the part numbers.

I get the clevis from Speedway. They have a 3/8 mounting hole that I prefer over the Pete & Jakes clevis with the larger (1/2" I think) mounting hole.

Yes, Hose Fast in Garland, TX made the brake hoses for me. I brought a hose in with the correct ends on it and had them make another four like it in the lengths I needed.

    Hope that helps!

Bass, when do you start on the body? Or have you been collecting photos for another thread blitz? Man, I must have looked at this thread 60 times so far.
