Jerry Dixie (The driver of STREET RODDER magazines ROAD TOUR CAR) made these years ago.. I think He still has some, Ask him how to purchace one if you see him at a show. The best thing to use this for is, if your lettering up a shop truck, or designing a LOGO for your hot rod shop.. Pick one, and insert your name.. or better yet, pick what you like from a few and make your own up.. Enjoy.
Yep, I'd love to have these on the wall. Anyone ever get a contact number for the man that's selling these? Too cool, thanks.
Awesome score. Hehe sure wish I could see a closeup of that pittman gasoline or nuberlene logo wink, wink, nudge, nudge
Thanks guys.. Jerry Dixie checks this site out occasionally.. Maybe he'll let ya know how to get them. JD
My grandpa worked for Getty for a lot of years. If Jerry ever checks in, put me down as wanting to buy one.
I'm partial to the Gilmore Oil ones myself...of course, that might be because it's my last name and the founders were distant family back in the long long ago.
Since I'm from Ohio I sure recognize that SOHIO logo. I worked at a SOHIO my last couple years of high school. SOHIO became BP.
oh man...that is something to frame and put in my living room. thanks for the inpserational piece of art!
I've got one framed in my office. I see something new everytime I look at it. Great conversation piece when customers come in.
You should take that to Kinko's or a copy store and have them scan it. I would by a scanned version from you.
I like the "Johnson Gasolene" wings and the "MacMillan" logo. My mom's maiden name and my middle name is McMillan. Gotta be kin somehow?!?!?!
