I haven't built a model for years but even if the decimal is 2 places off it would still be a pricy model kit. No doubt crafted by second generation virgins high up in the Alps.

Just sell me the parts. I'll put it together myself.

There are guys on here that won't pay that for complete drivers!

  7. Takes between 2500-4500 hrs to produce the parts and 250- 450 hrs to assemble their models.

That's more than the combined total that I've paid for all the vehicles I own.

Now, honestly, who the hell is going to pay that? I used to pay $1.49 for my AMT and Revell models and you could customize them and also set them on fire with the sun and a magnifying glass. And, of course, my mom threw all of them out.

  11. The people who can afford the actual cars that these scans are taken off to make the models. The company does $10 million in revenue a year.

  12. Well, somebody is paying that because this company is a going concern. But you'll notice that they aren't doing models of Mustangs or Camaros either. That kit price is probably less than the sales tax or auction premium the owners paid when purchasing the real thing. Or equals the cost of a annual 'routine service' or two...

Yeah, I kinda figured out who the customers would be. They seem to do a lot of stuff besides just models. Presentations, concept cars and planes, etc. And, if you want and could afford such a model, it's probably your, or more likely shareholder, money. However, I don't buy the !0 million a year unless they've expanded like crazy during a world-wide pandemic.

That's some crazy shit. Based on the above thread on how many hours are "invested" in each one, by my simpleton math, the selling price pays back from $2.63 to $4.73 for each hour needed.
I think they should raise their prices...... or move here, maybe they could qualify for..... never mind.

You think they'll let me have it for factory invoice? Never mind. The steering wheel is on the wrong side.

The best part is the installment plan. You have the ability to spend five figures on a model, but you need to do it in payments? Probably over budget on Thomas Kincaid collectibles

A company called eaglemoss or something like that just came out with a 1/8 scale '59 Caddy ambulance from the Ghostbusters movie....
