It's a 10 or 12 hour trip from Speed Week to Denver CO. By Evanston WY we need a rest. Not wanting truck stop food we drive into town. We pass a Ford one ton 1928 truck in a parking lot. But continue on to find some goodfood in a local deli. My partner in crime just bought an original 1929 Ford Model A . He says lets go back and look at the truck. We go back and it turns out it is a raffle for a local charity. $50 a ticket. I tell my partner if you win it we have to drive back to Evanston. We are going back next Tuesday. He won the truck LOL. Well done, right place, right time. I know the drive from Bonneville to CO, I did it after speed week 10 years ago.
That will be an interesting drive back...throw the overalls on and a straw hat and off to the races......sometimes your lucky day happens.
