The general may have known what he was doing but Ford Fairlane outsold tri 5's every time.

I laugh, the other day I was putting gas in my 55 and a guy walks up and says "wanna sell it" and I said no but thanks and he says "you should make a gasser out of it" .... no comment.

I had been wanting to put a straight front axle on my 55 for the past several years long before the current gasser craze... allthough its the trendy thing now (which usually I hate) if it looks good and its popular then thats a pretty good thing, cause usually if its popular then its usually garbage this day in time.

I have always thought the shoe box chevrolets looked terrible when lowered especially the 55, the cars are too bulky and look like a slug when lowered in my opinion, I just think they look better at stock height or even higher, not a comical street freak but just a mean belligerent hot rod.

Brizio's 55 is about as perfect as a 55 can be, but then there is always Scott Sullivan's cheez whiz, and oh wait, shakey puddin is cool as hell.

I lover 55's and the three about hit my hot button

I believe this is the Cheese's (BAGSHAW) car that he built from Long Island. His son is a friend of mine and an equally talented builder.

I think the 55 Chevy is one of the best looking cars ever built. What else is there to say?

I've always liked tri-5s. I thought the dark side meant Mustangs!

That's the "Exota," by Ron Dubberstein. Quite possibly the longest tenured competitive show car in the country. Originally built by Dubberstein and Darryl Starbird in around '62 in Candy Red. There's even a thread on the HAMB about the latest revision:

Personally I prefer the original iteration, but as showcars go, they need to continuously update and modify them to keep showing.

This is a custom done by a local guy many decades ago. The present owner just finished bringing it back to it's original custom status again.

I know this is over three years old, but actually Chevrolet outsold Ford in '55 & '56. Ford outsold Chevrolet in '57.

Never saw that one when it was fresh! Ryan, didja have to go as far as the Betty Boop collection? I'm pretty sure that musta scarred "Aaron" for life...
