    Exactly. I brush the varnish and bottom on my Chris Craft, (alkyd paint and traditional spar varnish) but I caved and sprayed the interior of our Spartan trailer with clear poly because it's so much faster, I get MUCH better results, and it's more durable. I don't know why you'd chose to brush or roll cheap paint over spraying cheap paint, but, if you're determined to do so it's your car, time, and effort.
