So we pulled the 350 out of the 49 truck today. Wasnt too bad of a task. The trucks low stance caused a little bit of back and forth with jacks but we got it popped out. I removed the exhaust manifolds to help with the extraction when we noticed a bright color coming from inside the head. I think she'd been runnin a lil lean.
I had a cam break on me in a small block chev once. It broke into 4 pieces and the two loose chunks fell into the crank in rods. Needless to say it wasn't a rebuilder anymore. It chucked a rod through the block into the starter and broke the starter off the block. I was cruising at 55 and hit a water puddle at the time it blew. Never figured out why it happened, it just did.....
