I second the inclusion of a Cunningham, although I'm partial to the '51 C2R. One passed through my life in 1965 and I let it go for all the wrong reasons. The C2R was as American as it could be, except for its Jag gearbox and Borrani wire wheels -- and certainly some other bits and pieces. I've read "historical" accounts of the four C2R and they are all very sketchy. The existence of the C2R with which I was involved was denied by the Cunningham museum when it was offered to them for $3500 in early 1965. 'One of the C2Rs was destroyed in an accident or fire. The remaining three C2Rs are accounted for; what you have is no doubt a one-off built to look like a Cunningham,' was the essence of their reply. There's an entire story here, but I don't want to bog down Jay's thread, so I'll just add a few images, including a couple of my own of the non-existent C2R in 1965

    Some details of the non-C2R . . .

And finally, the first C2R prototype. I love the one-piece curved windshield.

All beautiful. I just wish I could go back there, stand on a corner and watch any of them drive by. I also wish I still had that transistor radio... "You ain't nuthin but a Hound Dog"!
