No idea what it is.
Schweitzer blower with 2 Port Hilborn on a 159 cu. in. Offenhauser. Offy tried blowers before turbos, but they didn’t go with GM, maybe they thought the Schweitzers were better engineered. Art Chrisman was involved in this testing, at the time he was a Field Rep for Champion Spark Plug.
In an earlier post I showed another 4-51 blower that fit completely under the hood of a Corvette, this article shows what could be the development of that system. Duntov sure had a fun playground
It's interesting that they used the excuse of "piston durability testing" to build a blown 283.
Check this out Bruce.
I think Zora became pretty adept at skirting the front office "suits".
Saw a blurry pic of one of these a decade or two ago and never found it in any catalogs or old ads but this one that sold recently on Ebay appears to be an actual Weiand part with the old Drag Star style logo and a part number - W671-3, 7167. Three AFB's on a 6-71, My guess would be mid 60s?
Also, if anybody's on here looking for info on vintage supercharger stuff don't forget this thread. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/vintage-blowers-and-drives.416333/page-2
