The students built this....

thanks to many posts on here dealing with open drive line conversions the kids built this, not too shabby for a bunch of kids who had never used a lathe before...

yes they do know what and why, they have built the entire rest of the car it is going on!

Inquiring minds want to know, including mine. When I was teaching shop class the "why" was just as important as the "how" part. That is a nice looking piece for an early effort.

BTW looks good. Can I join your class?

 

the yoke is off an '84 S-10, I suppose you could use just about anything depending on what you have around? I am going to shorten and use the S-10 driveshaft so that end of it will all be off the shelf stuff, I can get the seal number for you if you want, just cant find it right now...
