Only problem is.............car ain't HAMB friendly (meets the 65 perameters..but it's an Ford "M" word car) I don't know how to post a video anyhow!
This was my '39 Chev coupe at first start up. A SBC 350 Roller motor, with LT1 heads, and a Howards cam. Turbo mufflers with a full 2.5" exhaust out the back.
Enough with the idling videos, how about some action: Oh, Chevy 283, lakes headers w/ auger baffles and turnouts.
They sound great going through tunnels LOL. Even my old '52 Chevy with a stock 216 and a straight pipe sounded like a damn airplane decelerating from 70 mph through tunnels and long overpasses." WHAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaa... 70 mph with a stock 216 with splash oiling and a 4:11 differential? Yeah, killed that 216. But it was fun LOL.
Best sounding car I ever had was a 64 Bonneville with a 421 Trips and a Four speed hydro.. It had duals with these heavy, straight through mufflers that I found in the back of this old garage.. They had very thick steel tubing with a spiral coil going right through the middle. They also had steel wool packing. They weren't Porters because the coil was stretched open, like the coil was pulled open and then welded so it stayed open.. They were 2" on both ends and painted a real nice metallic blue.. This Pontiac also had Long Branch manifolds and the exhaust heat risers were blocked off..
