  4. There was a reason. Rules stipulated a minimum windshield height. They took more out of the rear because they could.
You'll see on several of the 34's that the builders cut the shit out of the roof and extended the windshield into the roof to satisfy rules.

Here's a screen shot of @tdog 's coupe from an old 8mm film from the 50's . Hopefully he can post the full video soon.

It’s taken 10 years to build this coupe, which works out at a chop of 1” per year. Should finally be driving this week... 8FADEEBB-1D10-49B0-BE38-A99C3E913D1D.jpeg 2E0B1029-2694-4EA2-9638-CB5CDCC4BEB8.jpeg A0ADBD20-B29B-4FF3-B25E-32F6558D29EF.jpeg 2C5BAC85-F9C0-421E-A2EA-CCB79D6F4D89.jpeg 3A1D47A1-D477-42A2-AB80-EFA74ED82E25.jpeg 80B22D39-7388-4313-9A3E-26F1DBF489E5.jpeg 5528C098-EEE8-4C86-BBB8-11C2296B263A.jpeg
