Event Coverage The Race of Gentlemen, 2nd Annual 2013

Ok, so after reading some of this thread and googling info on this little beach community, I'm really stoked regarding not only the race but the event location as well. Since I didn't make it to the Jalopy Showdown due to a breakdown on the way there, I do believe this might be the perfect opportunity to hang with my East Coast pals.

I'm bringing my wagon!

That T belonged to Eli's grandfather and could possibly be one of the oldest or first hot rods in the area!!! It will do 70MPH!

That T is amazing. I'm sure there are so many here that hear us say this and think huh? It's not a chopped 34 with the right stance and mill. But a car like this for me, and us, is what it is all about. A true Gentlemen car! Eli's grand pop is going to have a great day looking down on us flogging that ole girl on the beach. I'm sure our pal Torr will be right beside him smiling and add libing some perfect commentary too! God bless um!!!

It's a whole different automotive high that must be experienced. 70mph in a nut and bolted, wooden and tin car, ...is one hell of a thrill if you love DaNgEr!!! Hahahaaaa!

The T has a LOT of old hot rod mods internally and externally....THats what you call a "tin sleeper"

While we're building stuff is there anything we should know about?

Like last year, I believe, at the last minute they didn't want antifreeze in the cars that might pollute the beach. Same thing this year?

I know you mentioned period-correct helmets.

Any other kind of restrictions?

If you go by last year... NO

You are only going to be going 45 mph I think that's 5 more then last year..

Yes, no Anti-feeeze! Cars must also be fueled off the beach. So make sure your fueled up before entering beach.
