Thank you for posting these. That must have taken quite a while. Hope the motorcycle mishap wasn't serious.

Thanks guys. I try to get down for this at least one day , last year was for two. Next year if my 51 ford coupe is done, I’m going for a week and catching everything. Love the kids reactions to all the cars and the events.. nice to see so many family members enjoying it together. I had to laugh, some people had no clue. While walking around the car show event I heard a couple chatting. One says to his wife,” wonder what’s going on out here”( there were huge dunes in front of the area they were actually racing so couldn’t see cars or bikes) the wife turns around and says all know it like.. “it’s boat racing or something.. can you hear the motors?? “ She then does this eye roll.. I had to politely inform them what was actually going on. Husband thought it was pretty cool. Wife huffed and walked to look at a another car. Guess I shoulda said it was a boat race..
As far as the guy on the bike.. they took him to the hospital. He was hauling ass and had the other guy beat pretty good when the bike went out of control on the sand. Nasty looking wreak. They gave the thumbs up saying he was ok, but he was pretty badly beat up, but was conscious and alert. Hope he make it out with minimum injuries.
Overall was a great event as always. Wish I coulda stayed the whole weekend. Sat got rained out around 3 when they called it done and the rest of the night was raining on and off so we took off around 7.
Oh as a side note.. there is a picture or two of a black roadster racing with 501 on the side. That was Gene Winfield running that. Thought that was worth mentioning..

TROG NJ vs. LA Roadster Show. Anybody remember the old "East Versus West" articles in the little books? Couldn't be a more stark contrast than here. Great event, Oilers!

Sure hope I can make it to this one day, even just to watch.

Any more pictures or info on this roadster with the straight six?
