And one more piece to throw in the pile.
Raise the windshield a few inches.
Anyway I can get someone to make my chevy this color?
Lol, ya had to go and put the skirts on it didn't ya! That looks fantastic, especially with the whitewalls.
The guys at breakfast this morning have me convinced to not chop it, it is just too nice and solid. Now I'm off to search out a set of skirts for it! Thanks everybody, ya'll are some great folks!
I thought it was too nice to chop as well but I already started cutting before I saw your post.
2" chop, new paint, tires, Cadillac hub caps and mild tint on the windows...
Best I got..
I watch this thread all the time. You guys are an inspiration. I just got my A registered and have been doing short cruises. Maybe time to consider colors. I've always been partial to jade green and pagan gold, but I'm open
. I'll eventually get a few sets of wheels/tires so I can change up the look. Any other input or ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
Moose, I know this was a hard one. I gave up on it. Kudos to you.
You nailed it!!!! Love it. Thank you so much
Nice car! I like the simple caps and tires on it, so I gave her a color combo with a sixties vibe.
For some reason I have this recent affinity for the 60's. Maybe all the drugs I took back then are finally kicking in.
The reason of the paintjob of the shoebox being so hard to get right is the fact that its actually a multi-tone job the results are great though, great job guys!
I miss partcipating in this thread, the quick jobs were good fun
Edit: wanted to attach a pic, so i went off to google, but realised - how am I even going to find it? First thought - entering "root beer shoebox" - was more than enough
I think it would look good with the T roof on A body. JMO.
Wow, the blue looks great on it. Not too sure about the two tone; Yeah at this point I'm having too much fun driving it to start cutting and changing it too much. Probably some wide whites and some Lancer caps or something similar, and I might add a two-tone, or scallops, some kind of splash of color to contrast all that silver. Thanks!
Not the greatest, the paint looks flat and blotchy.
Very cool! Thanks, guys. I have always liked the white top/interior/running board/firewall treatment. Interesting to see the different colors. I do have a full hood for it. Maybe radirs at some point, like I had on my '28.
You talked about jade green...I think it would look great. Had to add a wheel treatment and a chrome door handle for to finish it off.....Oh yeah I also added the "Barn Hunter" graphic to give it that personal touch
Very cool. Color and wheels really do make a difference. Wheels you can change out...color you have to make a commitment. Nice job and Thank you!
This looks great Moose! Love the wires!
This one looks really cool ! It would be good looking with padded top...something different, but cool.
If possible I would like to see my ride with an aluminum grille insert and chrome windshield trim. Thanks.
Thank you Moose !! Appreciate all the cool work you do ...
no kidding, you guys are really terrific,
such detail and execution is just amazing..
one of my most looked at thread...
Any chance I could get this photoshopped to see what it would look like with the body and frame '57 Chevy Sierra Gold.
Thank you @madfish . I appreciate that!!
First time use of “paint shop pro” Never used any editing software before, so it’s not perfect.
