I love where you are heading with this. My sense for the truck was that the finish had to stay true to the 60's-early 70's theme. Any colors or paint schemes that were too modern would destroy the attitude of the truck. That's the easy part. So much of the 60's-early 70's stuff was so tacky and not timeless. Capturing both is really tough, a late sixties vibe that you won't look at in ten years and say "what was I thinking". You are very talented and you've really helped me vizualize where this needs to go. If you're ever in the Dallas area and want a ride that would scare the shit out of Felix Baumgartner, shoot me a message, I'll even buy the beer.

I've got a chance to paint my wagon all white for very cheap. Can somebody change the color to white? Much obliged.

Glad ya like the look, I always get visions of the the munster mobile with trucks like this, If I have time later will make a lighter ver of the image. I think a orange/copper metallic would look nice on the truck and still look old school IMO. I'll mess around with it see how it looks. Love the motor in it what is it? looks cool. If I ever get to the states around there might take ya up on the beer. LOL no U.S. 3 % beer please LOL

Perhaps one of you very talented computer controllers could help me with my dilemma. I bought a project from someone who had started the build several times, but never actually finished any of it. It is a 32 ford pickup I have been working hard on it for over a year now. One of the things in place before I bought the project was a Pro's Pick pickup box assembly, that is a solid and very strong, although very simple and plane with no style or feature lines on the box sides. From the start I knew the sides were going to look like a billboard with no message.

Would someone be willing to add a panel or stripe to the sides of my bed to brake up the large expanse of featureless area? I've painted the grill and firewall with a burgandy color and would like to continue with the same, but for this purpose it wouldn't matter. Maybe some thing like the standard roled bead on the stock beds?

Now boys, play nice. It is indeed the 427 SOHC motor a/k/a the "cammer". Built by Ford for the '65 NASCAR season to end the 426 hemi's reign of terror, NASCAR said "I don't think so" so Ford took it over to the NHRA and won..A LOT. With the Hilborns, should move a 2,400# truck like the tasmanian devil on crack! If that sound like your type of fun, grab your brother and come on down to Texas, we'll spend the morning scaring the hell out of ourselves and the afternoon trying to get melted Radir of the back of a PU cab!

    Cheers eh,

    Jim

IMO the frame being painted body color is making the truck look really tall and slab sided if you hide it by painting it black I think it would help that.

That's an interesting color. I am not much into the shaved look. I am going more for the hot rod menacing look. To me the chrome and stainless really brings the car out.
