It s easier for us to have a picture of what you want, instead on digging Google to find .
This is a simple Toshop/Gimp project, but what do 57caddy look like ? :p

Winter is soon here in Quebec, just picked up a winter car, but would like to add a little personality to the paint(so people quit thinking I am an undercover police officer).

If you talented photoshop experts could please paint the car black(gloss not flat) from the grey stripe up(body line above the door handles) to see what it would look like before I get out the guns, and also do the opposite, that is black below the belt line(wife and I have a slight disagreement as to what 1/2 should change color).

Did a quick job over lunch.
Here it is above and below the rub strip, as I mis-read your post.

Will do versions to the grey pinstripe line later today.

Thanks, the black top gets the vote, one additional change if possible, black out the grill.

Thank you for your super job!

    Yvan,
As you may know, we don't usually do newer cars on the HAMB, but I discovered a new tool in my digital paintbox and wanted to give it a try.

Since customs are what we are all about, I decided do do some old-style mods on your Ford, because, as we all know, stock sucks!

    Here's what I did:
Chopped the top 2 inches and removed the center pillar.
(you'll need a big credit card and phone call to Finland for custom glass)

Extended the front and rear quarter panels to visually lengthen the car.

Removed door handles, mirrors and rub strip.

Lowered it two inches or so.

    And finished up with a slightly-retro two-tone.

Is there anyone willing to take a stab at the following idea?

1956 chevy 4 door post with a fleetline (49-52?) fastback roof and trunk. Can either be stock roof height or with a mild 2"-3" chop. If chopped, slant the door post!!!

Have the fastback roof/trunk go down between the 56 quarters and maybe add packard tail lights.... If you are willing, let's see what you can come up with for a fastback 56 chevy moredoor!!! Hmmm... a 56 chevy fleetline.....

Thanks, I know it's new for here, but think of it as a sacrificial lamb, keeps the real car from being eaten by road salt.

    What you did looks great!

    David,
I'm sure that new grille would look great, but at $400+, I think we can come up with another solution.

How about this: start scrounging the junkyards and flea markets for individual bars that are straight. Buying them used, one-at-a-time is almost always cheaper than buying a complete set new.

    Now here's my idea:
Get two top bars, two middle bars and two bottom bars. The invert one of each pair and mount as shown. Custom grille with stock parts. Then keep your eyes out for a suitable bumper from a big old 50s sedan, maybe Buick, Caddy, DeSoto, whatever. Instant custom truck!

Here is the idea, minus the bumper.
When I find a suitable one, I'll add it and repost.
