Hey, that might work. Green Flake to make it pop but it still looks like a black top from a distance.

Thanks a gain ClayMart that's closer to what i was looking for.
I'd send you payment for fixing the driveway but I just looked outside and it still looks the same. Actually that's not a crack just one of the slabs that sunk due to the chipmunks burrowing under it.

I like it alot. I hope to actually get the nose down to get things level or just a touch of rake when I am actually able to lower it. Wide whites do look good on it.

How about a rampside on it for cargo entry. That thing is sick. The front is killer.

Any ides for my Edsel ???
    Paintwork is "100 footer",
    Some scallpos, perhaps ??

Maybe within next 10 years this "ELLI" will be registgered as
Historic vechile, so maybe first some scallops , later better paintjob.

Here's my take on the Edsel:

Edsel's are neat cars but they look best when toned down, rather than tarted up.
So I just cleaned up the door handles and such. Removed the cove spear. Then I extended the side chrome to meet the cove. That ties everything together.

That's where I stopped for today. If it were my car, I'd add wide whites, and those gorgeous Edsel tribar wheel covers, maybe with a bullet over the "E".

Maybe custom made cruiser skirts, or a reshaped rear wheel well.

Then, if I were really ambitious, add a Thunderbird-style fiberglass cover over the rear seats!

  27. Hmmm...An Edsel Roadster you say???

Searched online for a bigger picture of a '58 convertible to work with. Would have liked to had a shot from a slightly higher angle but my choices were limited. But I like the colors of the OP's car better. It's got to be the only one in Finland!

Suppose you could add scallops but you'd have be restrained with it. The stock two-tone paint kind of gives you a scallop effect anyway. The roadster cover over the back seats seemed like a natural. The dropped center section between the headrests mimics the dropped section on the decklid between the tailights. The only other change I made was to paint the insert of the cove molding red to lighten things up a bit in that area.

And look who turned up to celebrate page 200 of this thread! :D
