Here are a couple of doors that I did. I did the Champion Storage and Southwest Marine trucks several years ago. I painted the Ganem's Garage pig boy trunk and door about a year later. I lost the digital files on my computer to these pictures, so I just took a picture of a picture and that is why they are blurry images.

Thanks Edweird! I wanted to do that for a while, and when this rolled in with an awesome "do whatever you want" customer with a good sense of humor......well....

  23. You just never know who will be attracted to your door lettering. I was approached by a Professional Photographer (does glamour catalogs for a leading retail firm) about using my old 1941 Chevy in a photo shoot.
The pictures will end up in a Bridal Catalog, I will post more when that day arrives. In the mean time, enjoy.

I just did this one tonight on my worn out 600,000 mile Cummins 97 Dodge truck. The truck is painted olive drab with stars and bars because I deal with antique aircraft junk. I thought some nose art would be ok on the door. The lettering looks crooked in these pictures because it is written over the multiple compound curves on the door. Keep in mind that this is a completely worn out work truck, and I wasn't painting it as if it were a "keeper". I was just going for the get it painted fast and cheap look after most of the original paint fell off.

The truck is basically painted like an airplane with a huge star and bar on the bed and with red/yellow checkerboard along the front of the hood. Overall it looked better painted more towards the front the way a WWII airplane would have been done. I wasn't going to get this detailed with it because the truck probably won't be around to much longer but it is a ton of fun to drive now that it is olive drab.
