Looking good willy! The oakbed is definitely nextup on my to do list. After seeing that.
UPS was man enough to deliver the turn signal switch parts today. One step closer to drivin.
Here is my 63' full porterbuilt suspension. getting ready for paint just cant decide on a color...
here"s one I had along time ago..
Last picture was the day I sold both the truck and the 62 caddy was a sad day indeed..
There are some nice looking rides
Any color you want, as long as it's green!
looking like a Dan Picasso drawing. i'm digging it.
Lovin these trucks! Mine is not cooperating with me! I think it wants to be put out to pasture. These pics are killing me.
Anyone educate me on this bump
In the frame of this 63 short bed? Wondering if this was factor installed or owner?
my wifes 65 has the same spot in the frame. thought the p.o. had done that on hers.
Mine '64 is sitting in storage again.. She's been without a motor
since '95. But she will run again. I just got through replacing/fixing the
brakes due to dry rot. The bump in the frame looks familiar, but you have
me wanting to go out to the barn and check..
That bump is there for a reason,,,,,On the inline 6s,,if it wasnt there it would be even a bigger pain to change the oil filter,,,,,,
yeah the bump in the frame is stock from the factory , my 66 has the same
Just did the same paint on my roof
90% of the Repo grille went to the scrap pile. Only 10% will be used.
hmmm.... what are you up to?
Hey thats my crew cab which was a CA forestry truckin NorCal. It was built in the Missouri plant then sent to Armbruster-Stageway in Fort Smith AK to be stretched.
Its been my daily driver since I purchased it in January 2005. Did motor swap last year and have a 700r4 on order. Have long stepside bed that will be slapped on after the trans is in. Need narrower tires to clear the fenders.
Currently sits on 235/70-16 up front and 265/70 out back. drop is a 3front and 5 rear for now.
this is the current look / stance taken the WCK nationals in Santa Maria this weekend. rattle can - wont paint it till all else is done.
Here's mine, got it a couple months ago. 1962 GMC swb bbw. Still has the orig. V6 305.
Thats one way to do it.
it was a 10 by 12 patio we tore out for a freind. couldnt make it over the curb to dump it. usually when its loaded, it drives like caddy, when its over loaded, it drives like an over powered tuner. but oad springs and oversized shock should keep us going.
Its my brothers 63. He's up to something. I dont know exactly either. I do know its gonna involve a lot of smooth 1/8 x 1/2 flat bar stock.
cool thread, i had a 62 gmc i wish i still had..
Nice lookin truck. What size tires are on it?
customcory did some quick and dirty bodywork while we wait on our wheels.
Antenna Hole before and after. Just metal and flat black.
One of the cab dents before and after. Just a slap file and flat black.
I got to say what a great thread. its given me plenty of ideas. here is some pictures of my trucks. the 62 step is my daily driver with the 235 and a 3 speed. I got the 63 off craigslist its got a 283 and a powerglide. i plan on just using it as a parts truck. also got a 60 im working on now. i plan to make it my daily. its got a 305 and a 3 speed with overdrive. i don't know who the girl is but she wanted to pose with my truck at a swap meet.
I saw a transformation this week.
