my 64 C10
I already have a '64 SWB, (since 1989) and just picked up this '65 for $2100. Runs and drives, as long as you keep it under 45 MPH.. I just got my 6 lug disk brake setup in the mail today from Classic Parts.. New front disks, tie rod end parts, and 2" drop spindles. I have 5 lug disks on my '64, but went with 6 lug disks on the '65, so that I don't have to swap out the rear axles to match, since I will be selling the '65 in the future.
Here's mine '66 i6, 3 on tree... Just got the disc brake conversion and drop components in today..... Blast to drive.... Simple to work on!
Here's mine..'66, I6, 3 on the tree... Blast to drive and cheap too!
Picked up this '61 Apache yesterday. 73000 miles, original everything. Needs some work but runs good. Pretty excited, been on the lookout for an affordable 60-63 for almost 10 years
I love your '63! Can you tell me the wheel & tire size you are running?
Heres my 61 Panel. Its an old Helms Bakery Truck. From what I can tell, I am the 4th owner. It has a 350/700r4.
Does it smell like donuts?
Oh Man! I wish!!
I drove a '56 Chevy ex-Helms Bakery truck, back in the mid 60's, for J & M Donuts. Took donuts, twice a day, from the store/bakery in Covina to their satellite store in Pomona. I loved the smell of that truck...
For anybody that's interested, but please do some research before purchasing. I would hate for anyone to buy these and not fit.
Spent Two weeks getting this running for a local kid, no charge, And he rear ended somebody right after leaving my shop. Now it sits and rots in a local back yard. Looks like the frame may be tweaked.
4" drop, disc brakes w/ spindles.... Just installed
Looks great, Jimmy!
Thanks.... Really wanted to keep the old school slots.... Had to shave a hair off the spindles to make them fit.
Yep, looks great lowered and I agree with keeping the slots.
Two cool ones from Mecum.
They just towed this in, down the road from us!
I'm diggin' on that inline! Nice!
My old 62
my 64 long bed with a sbc.

Maverick Daddy you are everywhere this morning you are "Like the Wind"
Man that takes me back. Those were the trucks I remember from Helm's when I was a kid in Diamond Bar. We'd hear that horn and lose our minds. You could hear the angles sing when he'd throw the back doors open.
Screw the ice cream man.
Here's a couple of my 65 c10 survivor with 23,000 original miles.
