  4. That's it folks. My hat's off to the Meltdown association for puting on the best event I have ever attended. I didn't get to spend as much time as I originally planned, but I still got to shake hands with Gene Cromer and Rocky Phillips.

  5. Great bunch of photo's..thanks for taking the time to post. HRP

  7. Great shots guys. Thank you for the coverage. I need to race this event next year!!!

  8. PLUMBID X2 for the photos. And yes you would have to look hard to find a nicer family then the Cromers. Hope you had the privilege to meet the one and only Melvin. He is a history book of the sixties ford drag team. I mean a part of.

Koolest event of the year. Question for the MDA - How did a Camaro happen to make a run during this event Saturday afternoon? Also noticed some post 66 looking rail dragsters that made passes. Other than seeing these few later model dragsters, it seemed just like it was 1966. Very nostalgic. THIS IS A MUST ATTEND EVENT !

  12. We had a fantastic time at the Meltdown! We have never felt more welcome at any other event or track. I could not even tell you the number of times we had our hands shook and thanked for coming even though we were just spectators! Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to meet a lot of you! We will definitely be back again next year! Worth every bit of the 7 hour commute!

Wow! What a great event. We had a blast. Got to meet Gene Cromer, and his family/ crew. Ed Iskedarian, Rocky Phillips, Dave P from Canada and many more. I wish I could remember everyones names. Awesome. My family had a blast, my wife and both kids said we have to get the model A on the track next yr. my wife said even if its not fast how cool would it be to race against those guys. Again thanks to all those involved and all the drivers for going. I don,t believe I have ever talked to nicer people from everywhere! Stacey Welch

Super/Stock Poncho, good observation. I as well noticed the Camero. Wonder how he got in there? I thought the Meltdown group was pretty anal about sticking to 66 and older vehicles. Even with the rogue Camero and a couple other non period correct cars, this is the coolest event in the Midwest!

I had a great time making passes and seeing all the others cars, thanks to all the MDA members for all the hard work putting up this event . It was nice to see some faces from here and get to meet some great people. I heard over 5k in attendance saturday and over 500 cars , the place was packed!

  29. just got back to the hotel, best weekend of my life, met some great people, not sure if they are on here or not. and I have to thank the guys with the "yesterdays child" 56 for letting me sit in the car. also talked to fellow ontario'ans scott and his dad with the "lakeshore shaker" mustang, very cool cars and very cool people. will hopefully be there next year with my fathers 66 gto.
