Oh, and the 10 day forecast is saying sunny and 81. No rain out excuses this year.

  4. I understand that the Slant Six Club is going to be putting on something that day so we should really have a great time and after all this house remodeling I need some good relaxation;)...

Just took a look at the weather forecast for Sat. 10/23/2010 @ Reynolds, GA. It is mostly sunny, high 81, low 53. Good weather for racing and partying!

  6. A week from now are you gonna be saying "WOW, what a hell of a time" or "can someone post some pictures for my sorry, stay at home, couldn't make it, lazy ass"?

    It's your call...

Hey, If you'll furnish the rags, I'll furnish the kerosene so we can put kero rags around the ankles of a certain few who have said they ain't coming, so the piss ants won't eat theie "candy asses"! And they know who they are!

Daren, come on and join the fun, and even if you don't participate in the communal BBQ, the grill is huge and has plenty of room for you to put whatever you want to cook on it.
There's a nearby Porta-John and IIRC, a water faucet to get water. Jimmy am I correct on water faucet outside @ concession stand?

Sounds like fun!...I will bring something, charcoal, food for the grill, or beer. Money is tight but im not a freeloader so I will contribute! So how is the tech inspection? is it kind relaxed on this event?...thinking I might want to spank some serious ass with my shoebox ford (let the trash talking begin!..haha) . Hey I have no pics to put up here, but go here http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=166163&l=b5b6ed8fdb&id=100000657330515 thats mine.

Daren, I don't think you'll have too much trouble with a full bodied car, what is drivetrain? Expect you'll need seat belts, but you oughta have those anyhow! Also a good battery tiedown.
Maybe Todd will be on here, fact I'll call him and ask him to come on and tell you about safety check as he runs a shoebox with a built flathead down there.
As for participating in the BBQ, check post #60 in this thread for a link to "Dave's Official RWYB Food Thread" or something similar. Get on there and we can include you as a last minute addition.

  13. You need seatbelts, battery tie down and if possible copper tubing for oil sending if possible. Hope to see you here.

Tonight I did an oiling and spice rub on the butts for the BBQ, back in the fridge till tomorrow evening when they go in my son's "Big Green Egg" for an overnight cooking. On Thur. I'll take it off the cooker, "pull" it while it's hot, then back in the fridge to cool till time to take to Reynolds in a cooler with jugs of ice. Then we'll heat the meat on that big ass grill and be ready to feast!

Will they the clocks up? Or is it a "flag man" style? A friend is thinking of bringing a legendary Gasser from the south to make some runs..

They have always had the clocks in operation when I've been there. Assume this to be no different.
    Dave

On edit: Your friend will have all the oppurtunity to make all the runs he wants. Hope to see yall there.
