  9. Made a left turn on the intake I am going to use, but couldn't pass it up. Head, intake and carb are set.
Hope to get assembly started this week. IMG_1804.JPG IMG_1805-2.JPG

    Jim,
Wow, how did you pull that off? Any mods to the chassis in store? Maybe do what NealinCa did to his Fordor.

  15. I have a friend that has this hot-rodded Delorean and......

I had it for sale at an annual car gathering a friend has. One of the guys saw it and told a friend, who bought it through the agent I was using.... When my friend had the event this year, I got introduced to the guy that bought it. We got talking and the rest is history.....

No Mods planned. probably going to pull the bumpers and spare tire off. Now if I could figure a way to do the European suicide doors.... that would be cool

  16. Jim,

You plans for the car sound great. Pull off the bumpers and have them chromed. I like your idea about the spare tire. Pull it off and add a fender well. Put a luggage rack in the back so you have room to carry things. I hope you forget the suicide door idea.

  17. You don't need to worry about that one. I like the looks, but no way it would ever come out right.

Glad you got that one back. It's a neat car. The Neal in ca 4 door is pretty sweet though. Just a good lowering and that one looked awesome.

That Winfield head look a lot like the one I have. Does it have 14mm Plugs? Did you CC the chambers and figure the CR?

I agree on lots of compression. I would like to run my head but I don't have an inserted motor and don't want to kill the bottom end. Saving my pennies for an insert bearing engine build. It may be to high even for an inserted engine on the street. Have seen indo that 6:1 and 7:1 run the best on a street motor. I think the one I have is 8:1.

  24. Man those chambers look small. I'm betting higher.

  25. Finally getting ready to put this sucker together (Or rather have the engine guy put it together). Going with inserts. based on the parts above, any special need for pistons or rods? I see anything from reuses original pistons to billet rods and forged pistons. Suggestions for suppliers?
