That isn't out of a 54 chevy pickup.

here is a photo of a 54 under construction. (removed gauges, glove door & ashtray add ugly steering wheel)

  3. Just got my newest dash "item"

the panel will be removed and the ampmeter will fill the "hole" in the gauge cluster

These are pictures before I received them, they clean up beautifully. The "chrysler" part will be repainted but there is no reason to touch any of the gauge faces. The switch is awesome, the lock doesnt work but all the contacts move and work beautifully. The center button is actually a starter switch with a lockout when the lever in in the off position. Now all I need is the tach to match and my interior will be complete.

You know what a pain in the @$$ it is working on underdash wiring and guages. Check out what this guy did! (At O.C. Cruisin' last spring...)

And a shot of my '29 dash. (I have the missing guage.)

  8. Here's my 32 5W. This dash came with the car and had been modified with the V dip in the center. It also had a big gauge hole in the center. I couldn't find the exact gauge that fit that hole, so the hole was modified to fit this 56 Chrylser speedo. I am hoping someone will recognize the dash desgn one day and I'll find some history on the car. I think it's unique to the car.

I wish. I've done all my traveling for the year. Now I need to focus and get a car on the road. Sucks to miss the Roundup but if I put the work in now I can drive my '35 there next year.

Almost done with mine. It still needs switches, knobs, and engine turned, but it's gettin' close.

Now that's crazy. But I love it. You're right. It definitely looks like it was made for the A. Awesome job!
