Real nice !!!
That isn't out of a 54 chevy pickup.
here is a photo of a 54 under construction. (removed gauges, glove door & ashtray add ugly steering wheel)
Just got my newest dash "item"
the panel will be removed and the ampmeter will fill the "hole" in the gauge cluster
These are pictures before I received them, they clean up beautifully. The "chrysler" part will be repainted but there is no reason to touch any of the gauge faces. The switch is awesome, the lock doesnt work but all the contacts move and work beautifully. The center button is actually a starter switch with a lockout when the lever in in the off position. Now all I need is the tach to match and my interior will be complete.
that is so awesome
I had started another thread to find out what this was from, but will add here. Any help is appreciated.
^^^^^^ WOW, cant help you w/ the ID, but looks like an example from the late 20's;
truly a work of art (S.W. gauges, too!)
You know what a pain in the @$$ it is working on underdash wiring and guages. Check out what this guy did! (At O.C. Cruisin' last spring...)
And a shot of my '29 dash. (I have the missing guage.)
Here's my 32 5W. This dash came with the car and had been modified with the V dip in the center. It also had a big gauge hole in the center. I couldn't find the exact gauge that fit that hole, so the hole was modified to fit this 56 Chrylser speedo. I am hoping someone will recognize the dash desgn one day and I'll find some history on the car. I think it's unique to the car.
Here is what I got in my coupe
Looking good Sandy.....but you can't tease me with just that pic of your coupe. I've seen a little more of it and I'm chomping at my fingers to see more!!!!
never mind, I just looked at your profile pics and fed myself full of hot rod meat & potatoes!
I need to put some new pics up
I've got the whole car apart now...started chroming stuff
You know the drill...
You coming to the Round up??
This thread is solid gold.
Thanks for sharing guys.
I wish. I've done all my traveling for the year. Now I need to focus and get a car on the road. Sucks to miss the Roundup but if I put the work in now I can drive my '35 there next year.
This is in our XM falcon
This is going in my 35 Ford P.U.
I really like that Faria tach
Hi im casing a 1928 essex dash or instrument cluster for my rod project.
Do you still have the ones in the pictures
Almost done with mine. It still needs switches, knobs, and engine turned, but it's gettin' close.
here's mine a hudson hornet in my model A
