Also, a big thanks to Bruce's Rod Shop for making our roadster "their" award pick....it's quite an honor with all the other KILLER deserving rides at the show.

    And the trophy is Awesome!!

There's a good feature in TR&KI (a couple of issues ago) about this bitchin Coupe.

No doubt, quality wise the show is getting better every year. The swap meet is still the weak point and indoor vendors could improve...Ryan I'm sure is aware since he has been to the best of the best shows in the country;).

I completely agree. What was up with the donks and other assorted d-bags with 15" monitors for sun visors showing rap videos? I mean I know there were a lot of activities in Austin that weekend, so a ton of cross cultural-ism going on. Where were all the cruisin' cars?? It is one thing to walk by and SEE a kustom or a hot rod, but to HEAR it, SMELL it - it's so much more visceral. I don't know how many times I saw a car cruisn down Congress friday night and made sure I went to see it Saturday because I wondered "what the hell is that guy runnin'??"

Traffic was HORRID! Holy crap- I live in Houston and I felt like I brought it with me. Sorry. Going anywhere was a chore. I'm just glad I broke out the gps and used some back streets.

Thank you Ryan et al. Great show. I really appreciated the police escort on the friday garage crawl too. Meeting the legendary Gene Winfield was really cool.

what can i say..first time to LSRU and it was great,i didnt even know i was going until a few days before.surprise 35th bday gift from my folks and my wife.so on top of that my Dad decided to have his coupe taken all the way from WV down to the show.then on the last day we get the Hamb pick award!..man what a weekend of insane cars and catching up with friends in an amazing city..
    thanks again Ryan!

  9. This one is shorter than the first. Computer kicked me out when I tried to send it.
Ryan and all; thanks for the great show. ASS thanks for the nice party.
City of Austin and Travis Co..... You guys suck and are greedy fuck wads. Some support, some seating around the complex would that be too much? City of Austin, could provide some nice pissers for the ladies on Friday and Saturday night. Hell no, make the local businesses pick up the work and tab. You guys are asswipes.
Not sure if I'm correct, Kelon at the Continental Club is the badest bartender in the land. Had a great time on Thursday evening. One cool cat.

  10. Good words, Ryan.

Just got in 'bout an hour ago from my 2200 mile 'circle'. I'm unapologetic about my "I wouldn't walk across the street for a damn car show" mantra......and I'm glad I compromised my integrity. The Round Up is so much more.
I plan to return next year, with a car

    ps....you need a new t-shirt tent

RC, couldn't do this w/o you. Man I had a good time this year. The quality of cars just keeps getting better and better. So glad you came to LSRU #1 and you got behind us. I miss those early years too, and I go thru the same anxiety you do leading up top this, but man when I see those cars start rollin in and the bands starting to play and all our family and friends together, I'm like ok, I 'll do this again. Thanks you again for all your support over the years and everyone else who has supported us too......all of you are responsible for making this show what it is.

  14. The guys from Denver had a blast.
Is it just me or does Austin have the longest traffic lights in the world?

Congress was a trip. One length up and back was 3 hours Saturday night.

My first Roundup and i totally agree, fantastic show! Well worth the 2300 mile round trip! lol
I was impressed by the people, vendors etc.
    Awesome!!!!
The ASS party was so cool! Thank you guys! Bob Bleed can really sing! lol

But as some have said...... you cant control the town and the greedy tow truck companys.
Saw a bunch of Hot rods towed from all around the ASS party friday nite, the tow truck fags had "undercover spotters" just waiting till those guys walked away from their rods.
