I am a big fan of the Hirohata Mercury. So I thought I would park it in a driveway and take an image of it for this cover.

I had to buy a new computer yesterday so I am learning a new system and working with a few different programs. So it may take me a while to get used to it and produce the quality I covers I was attaining with my old system.
Here is my first with the new system.

    Geoff,
Would you be interested in helping me out with a car club project? The Tampa Knights will be celebrating their 35th year in Sep and I was thinking a club photo of our cars put one one of your faux mag covers would be pretty cool for the cover of an events program or something like that. What think? Have you ever done them for reproduction at a printer? Lemme know, Gary

A full thumbs up for that. Looks like they have had a great weekend for that event. Motorbikes I could hear roaring through town all weekend.

    Thanks guys.
Hey Charlie, imagine finding something like that. I could see that 3W body just laying by the fence in your hot rod driveway.
Thanks Tub. As I have said before it is all about the challenge and creation for me. Some take maybe 10 minutes, other s a real lot longer. But I still immensely enjoy doing them.
But it is always good to get a written response

Here's a cover I just did, using an image I just found. I believe that image of the channeled 5W was taken around 1975.

Interesting to see that shot of Eddie's old coupe after looking it over at the Boogaloo on the weekend Geoff. In your shot it still has the original rear guards but the grill has changed and it is now running 2 4's on the Y-block. Did Ray Marney buy it off Eddie, strip the green flake and paint it the current blue? Interesting set-up with the 2 Cal-Custom scoops on the 2x4 manifold. You apparently know lots about this car since it left the Muckleford area Geoff. Lots of changes made to this car before Alan Dunn got it.

Peter I don't have any information at all; sorry.
I did alter the width of the front wheels and tyres in that images, that's all.

I thought this was a stunning image when I found it. It's a shame the whole of the roadster isn't in the shot.
But the image does work on this cover.

Sorry Simon, I couldn't say. It is just an image I found that I thought I may be able to use here on a cover.

I resisted temptation on the Custom Rodder above. I really wanted to chop Eddie's old coupe, but just made do with the thinner front wheels and tyres.
But when I showed the images to Spencer T and Jude at The South West Speed Shop, there was no holding back.
