Same back at you and the girls, GaryD.
Yeah park that one beside Tony's and it would be a tough choice?
I lowered the purple roadster and chopped the screen for use on that cover.

I think it is only right, that on Christmas day all the covers should feature '32s.

That's a great idea Geoff as everybody needs a 32 for Christmas!
Just took mine for a 10 mile run into town to pick up the chooks for tomorrows Christmas dinner. I better go and wash it now as the wife has been using it as her runaround when she doesn't want to get her new car dirty on our dirt road and her coupe is on the hoist with welders etc parked under it.

  4. Merry Christmas to all down under! Please leave some 32's in the States!

Priorities Peter. It's just an old Ford, that's what they were designed for. It's good to have a back up vehicle, be it modern or old.
Stayed tuned for our next cover, it has a real unexpected twist relating to the history of the Deuce.

CT, thankyou for your post. I like your '32s. To you and yours have a Merry Xmas and a great new year.

In my quest as the editor and chief of 'The Magazine Of The Mind Publishing Company' I always am on the lookout for images and information that I can use here, Well I came across an amazing image that staggered me. With that image I began a mission to find out what it showed.
We all know that Henry Ford developed the flathead V8 for the up and coming '32 range of vehicles. What I found through researching this image, is that at the same time there may have been a top secret prototype production line somewhere in Detroit, building modified hot rod style deuces.
Unfortunately not matter how much I dug, I was unable to find out if this officially took place. But stranger things have happened in this old car world of ours.
    You be the judge.

Could be a Pete and Jake day today. Although I will be giving my coupe a bit of a once over, whilst listening to the cricket.

Good timing posting those last 2 covers Geoff as Bubby was doing some tidying up on Sunday and found some hot rod/car DVD's. |She watched "California Kid" and thoroughly enjoyed it but was horrified at how they treated the car. Then last night we watched "Bullitt". Better than watching the cricket or the carols.

Thanks whodack for putting the old forgotten barn find rusty coupe on a front page, it is forever digitally immortalised !! I love your front cover art work. I am in the process of putting up a backyard workshop and will line the walls with framed posters of your work. I will be getting stuck into the rusty coupe soon and still think it will not wear it's gennie grille and bonnet so need to spend some quality time with you whodack strategising on the right custom grille to bring this one to life

Yes Peter, the California Kid is a great movie. I came across a heap of images of when the movie was being made. I will probably do a few more covers featuring some of those images.

Hey Tom, I knew you would like that cover.
Did you like the revised version of the Tommy Flathead and Sons logo?

Ok onto the next cover. Following along with the Pete and Jake theme that has just happened with my covers today.

Thanks Mick, I really like that one myself.
I cut out the California Kid, to place Paul's coupe there. Also lost his fenders in the process.
Fortunately that image of Paul's was taken from the perfect angle.
They could be heading up to Newcastle from Sydney. Or maybe down to Melbourne on the Hume.

Hey 32 4door.. I was thinking that was your roadster, however we have never met. I believe your a friend of Charlie's or maybe related?
Good looking roadster by the way.

Here's an interesting one. I have added a very modern style 3W onto a 1953 cover. I have played with color tinting and saturation to give the image the same feel as the other images that were on the original cover. I really like how it has worked out and I think the image I added doesn't look out of place.

It seems Photobucket is undergoing maintenance today.
I did a few covers earlier today. Here's the first.

PS I hope the images from my previous posts re-appear.

I was wondering why Rita and Tony had moved. After seeing this shot of Tony's roadster on the beach at Port Fairy (?), I can understand why. It used to be such a quiet stretch of sand.
