Thanks guys for the written contributions.
Pat here's something I think you will like.Amazingly this magazine turned up in an old junk shop.
I spent way to much time on it this morning, so I will make comment on your roadster later. I really need to go inside and work on the lounge room.

Whodack that is one awsome cover seems to me this old mag spent way to much time sunbathing in the front window of that retro shop you keep finding these gems at!

Funny I scoured all these within the last 6 months couldn't find your hot rod mag honey hole !!

Tom, as you suggest; you need to know where to look. A lot of little out of the way places down here that I never told you about let alone got to show you. Now you will never know.
Here's another I picked up today, not quite as weather beaten as that last one, but a cool subject matter just the same.

Thanks for the feedback guys, think I'm with you FB I like the less is more deal.
Cheers for the lesson Tom they must be hard to find in good nic. My friend up here, Lawrie with the dragster is on the FordBarn abit, he recently run 140mph! He's a real knowledgable guy, who's built a lot of flathead. Recently he drove his original 33 Tudor towing a van from up here to Avalon airshow and back. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=225378

Geoff, mate that cover of my bomb is really something. Thanks a lot for finding that!
Hope the renos went smooth today

Thanks for sharing and making us aware of this wild blown flathead monster! Please can I ask for a close up pic of the timing cover? I have seen this set up before but never really looked at it with the interest i have now. Would you know the motor specs? I am most intrigued by what cam he would be running as I am slowly working on a 471 blown flathead project.

I am glad you liked the cover Pat.
Reno's went well yesterday. Slow going, because of how fussy I am being. That's just the way I am I guess. I wouldn't want to pay some-one else for the hours I am putting in. A bit like what we do ourselves on our hot rods.
Here's a new cover. I only chopped this tudor, it sat like that when I found the image. Which in my mind is perfect for the style of hot rod it is.

This one depicts ' the joys of racing'. Anyone who's been to Bonneville knows the Stateline Hotel/Casino.

Looking good FB. That's a lot harder to do than moving stuff around on the computer with a mouse.

I messed with Gray Baskerville's roadster a while back and used it in color on a cover. Here is the same image in black and white featured on another cover.

  22. I like the channeled, full fendered 5 window. Very cool. On the weekend I was messing around on the computer and typed whodaky into a Google Image search just to see what would come up, just about every one of the magazines you've shared all in one place. Definitely worth a look.

It would seem '32 3w's were popular cover cars, back in the day.

Yup it definitely is way back there, FB.
Of course roadsters have always been good cover cars.
