all i can say is that i made the right choice using piero to do the dvd! i am very happy with it. piero did an awesome job capturing the essence and history of the photos that george took. even though it took more than a year!! i think most of you will enjoy it.

The concept is great, the trailer I hope is not indicative of the final product with all the jumping around and blurred phots being zoomed in on.

Hahaa Thanks I told her she should do voice overs

It's a trailer /opening.. its spose to be like that.. and there is some jumping around and blurred phots being zoomed in on but not as much as the trailer..thats how its filmed
and it my style..but ya its minimal definatly allot less..

I'm hoping to have it done in the next 3 weeks and then its off to the replicators witch takes 2 weeks so Mid September..

    Thanks Much appreciated!!

    The Locations:

The House is Famous in it self..Used by George to shoot 100's of pix in front of
less than a mile from the shop, George would wip over there to snap some quick shots
    of work he just finished...

This is the Moslem in Lynwood Also lots of pix shot here,, it has a very European vibe
    Sam's Ride
    [IMG]

Lynwood City Hall Very Famous Cars shot here as well.. All locations were within 3 miles from the shop..

Other side.. Notice george's shadow standing on a box... :D
    [IMG]

Barris Shop later on after they took over the Animal Hospital and opend the Kustom
Accessories With Jeffries and Manuel the upholster.. Sold Kustom stuff..Bolt on parts..

Now Brad Masterson took it over and is making it a sorta personal Barris Museum.. he hopes to take over the shop next door and have the entire barris shop..

Looks like a fantastic project - just flipping through some of the old "little pages" customs magazines of the fifties just notice how many of the articles have Barris' byline on the credits. His collection of images must be a priceless resource for the hot rod and custom enthusiasts. Between George Barris and Andy Southard and their dedication to recording this era I think the entire hot rodding community owes them a tremendous debt of gratitude. I think this collection of photographs may be one of Georges most important contributions to his undisputed title of "King of the Customizers" and will help his legacy live on. Please express our thanks to George for sharing these pictures with us over the last sixty-plus years.

It will be great to see better versions of many of these photographs that were so grainy when they were published in the old magazines originally. I'm looking forward to this project.

If you find any more of George's pictures of Jeffries Porsche I'd love to see them. It looks like the Compton Drive-In in the background of this shot.

Wow, I had no idea that Barris actually shot some pictures of Roth. What of the lifelong rivalry? I guess we can all find some common ground in a beautiful car.
