Projects The "Keep on Truckin' " '34 Chevy Build

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by cactus1, Jun 16, 2009.

  1. Thanks Rob! Come check it out when your in the neighborhood!

Thanks Kelly! What you see in the foreground is the two story barn (soon to be shop). What you don't see is the three car garage and house behind there. It really is more than we could have ever dreamed of finding!

This place keeps getting better. Still near KC?

Maybe I need to plan my trip to Jay's springtime HAMB cookout with a field trip through greater Kansas City. I kinda miss that place. Been a long time since I hung out there.

  3. Between Jay's and KC actually. In fact Jay had his eye on this place but it was not enough land for him. You should totally come through. I may actually make it to the HAMB BQ for once, ha! (Hope I didn't just jinx it.)

    Thank you!

    Thanks to you as well!

  17. The weather and schedule finally cooperated enough to bring the truck home last night for the first time.

Average about 80mph (allegedly!) all the way! I heart my overdrive!

  19. So I guess I should stop looking for your truck at the RoundUp

  20. :)

Yup. No roundup for us this year unfortunately. Too busy working on the new spread, haha!

  21. I guess that's a reasonable excuse.
I was looking forward to meeting you though.
Got to show us some pics of your new shop space sometime

any progress lately other then getting it home? that big building looks big enough to make test runs in with future projects when its snowing in the winters to come haha.

"cactus1's hot rod barn find car show!" Rural Kansas's only indoor car show!

  23. Sorry I missed this before Flow. I'm flattered that you would want to meet my dumb ass, ha! The shop is nowhere closer to being set up than it was when we moved in. We've been working on the house itself and mowing...alot!

No progress on the truck itself other than getting it dirty every chance I get!
The machine shed is pretty damn big. Now I've got the space but no money to spend on frivolous projects...yet!

maybe indoor banger drag races for new years? they couldn't get going fast enough to be dangerous i wouldn't think haha

  25. Just checked back into this thread after a few months, WOW. You said you moved but that place is awesome! Great meeting you at Jays, had fun looking at the truck

  26. This could work! Or we could all make ski conversions like Jay did and race around the property! Haha!

Hey Trent! Thanks man, we are super stoked on the place!!
It was great meeting you and your family as well. It's nice to finally put a face with the name after talking on here all these years.
